Atwater Village

Lord, I do love Atwater Village. We've lived here ten years this coming May, and it has changed remarkably. On Saturday afternoon, I just loved that we were working on our front yard, staining our gate and our neighbors were out in force, planting new plants, working on their cars, just being present. We all were present and out in the street and it felt great.

sounds so idyllic, Miles! LA's own little Mayberry RFD. I'm back in town for good (I hope) as of April 5th. I will have to spend more time in Atwater!

Looking forward to seeing you guys. We'll have some lemonade on the front porch...

Even more idyllic is the fruits and vegetables that people could plant in the front yard, and are welcomed to pick (of course not radically..). Later on more people will plant signs to truly say welcome....

Maybe there will be more signs next to a pitcher of lemonade to say welcome to Atwater village? I know I do see a lot of signs next to junk saying free...
