Wish everyone had done as you suggested Miles.

Now DeLeon is in - don't expect to see him around much - and the Gay and Lesbian Caucus is down one. Too bad. But maybe Elena will try again.

You know, she nabbed all the big press endorsement across the spectrum - LA Weekly, la Opinion AND the LA Times...

I'm one of the 10,000-plus who voted for Kevin. He had the endorsement of the Dem Party, NE Dem Club, labor, Mayor V., Eric Garcetti. Anyone who can build those kinds of bridges deserves a chance. Can you stop the attack mode and work with him for the betterment of our District?

Funny how I haven't posted anything since the election, so where this "attack mode" is coming from, I am not sure.

I wish de Leon the best of luck. We need a good representative for our district. I hope he is one.

Did I vote for him? No. Do I hope for good things from him? Of course. Will I continue to speak out about things that I care about? Yes. Is that an "attack mode"? No.

Don't count the other candidate out in terms of supporting gays and lesbians. Samantha Allen-Newman had the endorsement of the Log Cabin Republicans going into the primary. So she's a breeder and a Republican. Big deal. I give her credit for making an effort to make sure gays and lesbians are included and not ignored. I know because I am gay, a Democrat and am going to offer to work with her on her campaign. I saw her out canvassing in Atwater Village before the primary, and in my opinion she'd make a better leader than DeLeon.
